CHCNAV AlphaAir 6

A new generation of ultralight airborne LiDAR for drones

The CHCNAV AlphaAir 6 represents a technological breakthrough in the field of airborne laser scanning. This device was designed with a clear goal: to bring high data density and accuracy to the most compact and lightest device to date.

Weighing only 750 grams including the calibrated camera, the AlphaAir 6 breaks down the barriers in the field of drone payload. It is an ideal solution for smaller and more affordable UAV platforms, while the performance and point cloud density directly compete with significantly heavier and more expensive systems

.

Main advantages:

  • Ultra-lightweight construction (0.75 kg):
  • The extremely low weight significantly extends the drone's flight time, which means more mapped hectares per takeoff. It is compatible with a wide range of UAVs (from CHCNAV X500, through DJI Matrice 350 RTK to smaller drones).
  • Extraordinary density and reflectivity: Thanks to advanced laser technology, the system can record multiple reflections (up to 4-5 reflections per pulse). It can easily penetrate dense vegetation and forest cover to capture the true relief of the terrain.
  • Integrated 24 MPx orthophoto camera: AlphaAir 6 combines LiDAR and a precision camera. In a single mission, you get a geometrically accurate 3D point cloud and high-quality images for automatic real-time point coloring and orthophoto map creation.
  • Top accuracy thanks to GNSS/IMU: The integrated high-precision inertial unit (IMU) of the latest generation in combination with a GNSS RTK/PPK receiver ensures centimeter-level accuracy of the resulting 3D models even during dynamic drone maneuvers.
  • Efficient software ecosystem:
  • The solution includes intuitive data processing software (CoPre/CoData), which automates the process of merging trajectories, calibration, point cloud coloring and export to standard formats.
