CHCNAV Apache 6

Flagship autonomous bathymetry for comprehensive 3D mapping

CHCNAV Apache 6 is a premium, fully autonomous surface vessel designed without compromise for the most demanding hydrographic projects. This hydrodynamic trimaran is the perfect solution for high-resolution 3D mapping of the underwater world.

Thanks to its unique design and high performance, Apache 6 can carry and fully integrate multi-beam sonars, advanced inertial navigation systems (GNSS/IMU) and even LiDAR scanners. This allows you to obtain precise 3D point clouds both below and above the water surface (e.g. banks, bridge structures) in one go.

.

Main advantages:

  • Optimized for Multibeam Sonars: The hull is designed from the ground up to eliminate air bubbles and turbulence under the bottom of the vessel. This ensures a clean, unobstructed signal for multibeam sonars (such as NORBIT, Teledyne or CHCNAV) and guarantees the highest quality data.
  • Dual-scanning (Water + Shore): The Apache 6 supports the simultaneous installation of a bathymetric sonar and a mobile LiDAR mapping system. The result is a complete 3D model of a riverbed, dam or port above and below the surface in a single mission.
  • High-performance propulsion system: Equipped with two high-efficiency brushless motors with anti-shock protection and an anti-algae system. The boat can easily handle steady sailing in strong currents up to 5 m/s.
  • High-end inertial system (IMU + RTK): Elimination of the influence of waves is key for accurate multibeam mapping. The Apache 6 uses a high-precision inertial unit that compensates for ship movements in real time, ensuring centimeter-level accuracy.
  • Robust carbon construction: The lightweight carbon fiber and Kevlar hull provides extreme rigidity, resistance to saltwater, impact, and chemicals, while maintaining a surprisingly low weight for handling.
